hello mods, here with a question for powers that hover somewhere between the examples of immortality and rapid healing/regeneration:
i have a character who isn't immortal (he ages and isn't immune to disease as far as we know!) but has such insane regenerative powers that he's unable to die. for example, he can be bisected or stabbed in the heart or splattered like a bug on a windshield and his body will scrape itself together and heal. he also has a monster/alien form that's triggered by high and fast levels of regeneration from those kinds of injuries. it is mentioned in canon that he can run out energy in this form from fighting and die.
to keep him in line with the power structure, would it be okay to assume his regen abilities are nerfed so that there are certain injuries that can kill him, depending on severity? (and also does that mean i would possibly be able to lower the threshold of injuries sustained to get to his monster form easier because i just think it'd be neat to fight kaiju with —)
