#2 - OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY, wanted to add to this: his abilities are location-specific... they use "stormlight" to function, which is a vibration and radiant energy given off by highstorms (specific kind of storm native to his planet) that can be stored in gemstones and then later used by him/others like him.

have you folks tackled this before? now, i definitely don't mind not using kaladin's abilities at all if it winds up easier for everyone involved (making characters weak is hilarious and fun), but I wanted to see if you were open to workshopping it first.

if he comes in with the gemstones still infused with stormlight, could they be replenished by regular storms or something like that?
