It will hurt, and beyond some soothing words offered by Alex, she will not be given any painkillers.
If she agrees, the procedure will begin.
By the end of it, she will probably be exhausted and need a few days to recuperate, which she can have in her room or in the medical bay. Dr. Spim is happy to sit on her lap and offer some calming purrs if she wants. He's been upgrading his technology, and his purrs can now induce full body relaxation along with sweet dreams of her past or whatever else makes her happy. If she wants, he can download this ASMR into her implant and she can listen to it anytime she wants to.
Her newfound strength and sturdiness will be felt after the recovery period but it will take her some time to get used to it. She might run into a few mishaps where she misjudges her strength and breaks something she shouldn't or shakes someone's hand way, way too hard.
