Hello Outsiders! We have some important news regarding the state of Synflux.
The past few months have been difficult for the entire mod team to sustain the game. We all have gotten busier with IRL obligations and other priorities, and we feel as if we are at a crossroads with what to do with the game. At this time, we believe the best option will be to give Synflux a chance for a mod turn around and keep the game going with a new mod team. The main mod and creator of the game will remain on the new mod team to help things run smoothly. If we cannot fulfill a new mod team, Synflux will work towards end game, aiming to conclude everything in September 2025 or October 2025. We are looking for the following team members to be filled:1-2 Main Mods: Writing event prompts, reviewing applications, kaiju creation, answering faq, overall story involvement.
1 Rewards Mod: Focuses mostly on approving rewards and doing reward write ups.
1 List Mod: Focuses on keeping the game data up to date, processing apps/drops.
2 Helper Mods: Reviewing and proofreading events, answering faq, assisting with applications, helps all around but to a lesser degree than a main mod.
If we cannot find a mod team, the overarching plot will be revealed and concluded. We will also give a chance for old characters to make an appearance in the final event. If we fulfill a new mod team, we will continue the overarching plot and possibly aim for conclusion sometime in 2026.
If you are interested in applying to be part of the new mod team, check out the MOD APPLICATIONS over here on a screened post. You do not have to be a player in the game to apply, but we would love to have current players' involvement since they are familiar with the setting and story already!
Applicants have until July 1st to apply. On July 1st, we will update the game with a current status and whether or not we have found a new mod team.
Thank you all for reading and we hope the game can continue to thrive longer!
LILITH rewards characters who work hard to keep Neo Tokyo safe. Special points will be awarded to characters who participate in missions and events, and these points will be uploaded into the chip in their dominant hand. These points are separate from KRYPTOS (which is the IC currency for this game), and dependent on each player's OOC participation in the game. Once points have been uploaded to their chip, the character will be able to access their available points and a menu of reward items they can purchase with these points if they so desire. The item will be delivered to them via a drone. If you would like to purchase an item your character is unlikely to ICly purchase, you can simply say it was a glitch somehow and could not be refunded.
• Bonus points work on the same principle as AC. The only difference is that inbox threads do not count for bonus points.1. Network (includes text mingle and player posts) = 1 point per tag.
2. Player Created Logs, TDM / Simulation Log (including network tags on the TDM log), Mission Log = 2 points per tag.
3. Inbox threads count for AC but not bonus points.
• Bonus points should be submitted with AC within the month. Reward requests using existing bonus points get submitted here.
• You can submit for rewards at any time. Mods aim to process the reward within a week. If you do not receive a response by then, feel free to drop us a PM.
• You do not have to wait for a mod to reply to your AC/bonus points submission to put in a rewards request. If you have the points, you can submit both at once and we will speak to you if there's an issue somewhere. You will, however, need to wait for approval before your character can receive their reward.
• Bonus points can still be submitted even while a player is on hiatus.
• Characters may request LILITH-issued weapons, technology and small upgrades for other characters. (The style upgrade, for example, will be available to the other character via a QR chip). The character receiving the gift is free to accept or decline the gift. Characters cannot request an implant surgery, powers or an item from home on the behalf of another character.
• LILITH will not be forcing any character to go for an implant surgery. The decision to go for the surgery has to be completely consensual. This is to promote a good relationship between LILITH and the Outsiders. This will be effective from Jan 2025.
▶ CYBERNETIC ENHANCEMENTS:
These mainly consist of cybernetic enhancements designed to enhance a person's strength, speed, agility and overall power. The procedure to install the enhancement is often excruciatingly painful and the character undergoing it will need to rest for a few days afterward to recover (Hopefully they have someone around to pamper them?). These cybernetics, while powerful, aren't perfect either. They glitch occasionally, going out of control or shutting down at the worst possible moment. (It is entirely up to players how in control they are of their new prosthetics, but a period of learning and instability is generally expected.)
• Nanobot injections. These injection consists of millions and millions of tiny nanobots that restructure the bones and muscles, making them stronger and more durable. A regular human who takes these injections will gain the strength to lift up a standard car and the durability to be hit by a bus without being scathed. Cost: 100 points.
• Limb prosthetic: Arm/Leg. New models of limb prosthetics have been added. Characters who are already missing limbs may have a limb prosthetic attached to their stump or open wound via surgery. Characters who have two functioning limbs and want an upgrade to their arm/leg may choose to have it technologically modified. The basic arm or leg prosthetic is available at 100 points each and features super strength and endurance. The appearance of the prosthetic is up to the player (it can look robotic or similar to a flesh arm). Additional weapons and features can be stacked at 100 points each.
Prosthetic arm options:
- The base model has the ability to lift 1000kg and is unbreakable.
- Rocket Launcher
- Laser
- Machine Gun
- Blades
- Chainsaws
- Flamethrower
- Metal claws
- Super speed
- Taser
- Extendable arm able to stretch up to 20 meters
Prosthetic leg options:
- The base model has the ability to jump 50 feet in the air and is unbreakable.
- Rocket Launcher
- Laser
- Machine Gun
- Blades
- Chainsaws
- Flamethrower
- Metal claws
- Taser
- Super speed (for kicking only. To achieve super speed in running, the user will need to buy prosthetics/modifications for both legs).
To give an example, if a character wants to obtain an arm with a built in flamethrower, they will need to buy the basic prosthetic surgery and then the flamethrower add on at 200 points in total.
• Eye prosthetic. Characters may choose to have their eye (or eyes) replaced with a cybernetic eyeball or have one fitted if they are blind/missing their eyes. These prosthetics allow the user to zoom up to 100x and enables night and heat vision. They come already fitted with LILITH's ocular implant and the cybernetic eyeball can be removed. These eyes come in whatever color desired by the user. Cost: 100 points.
For an extra 100 points, lasers can be fitted to them.
• Voicebox. Characters may choose to have their vocal cords replaced with an artificial voicebox. These cybernetic vocal cords will allow them to speak in their original voice and copy the voices of other people, animals and kaiju (they cannot use these to copy the voices of LILITH staff and OOC permission is required to copy the voices of other characters). Cost: 100 points.
For an extra 100 points, they can buy a sonic scream feature that can be used in battle.
• Shape-changing skin grafts. This procedure involves the installation of prosthetic skin to a character's body. Thankfully, given how painful the removal of one's skin would be, they can be anaesthetized for this procedure. Following the procedure, they will look more or less normal, but will gain the ability to shape shift into a being of equivalent size to them. There can be occasional mishaps and they might have difficulty changing back on occasion. Cost: 200 points.
• Healing Touch. A character's hormonal system is altered to give them the ability to heal wounds up to broken bones, burns and gnashes. To activate this ability, the character will need to embrace their injured friend for a period of time. The healing effect works even quicker during some sort of physical intimacy. Cost: 70 points.
• Ocean Gem. The ocean gem is an external enhancement that gives the character the ability to breathe underwater and the features of a sea creature. This can include the addition of gills, scales and the fins or tail of a fish/dolphin/octopus/other marine animal. This upgrade comes as a gem that is fixed in the middle of a person's chest. When activated, nanobots are introduced into the system and work on temporarily modifying the user's body. The changes are uncomfortable but upgrades have been made to the technology so the process is no longer painful. There can be occasional glitches and they might have difficulty changing back on occasion. Cost: 100 points.
• Teleportation Chip. One of the newest advances in technology is coming to the LILITH base, the Teleportation Chip! Outsiders interested in traveling up to 10km without walking can request this upgrade.. for a price. Their implant will undergo a small surgery to upgrade one of their chips, allowing characters to disappear and teleport up to 10km. Look, it's not perfected just yet.. but maybe soon we can travel to another country with the blink of an eye! Nevermind the fact that the surgical procedure is excruciating to go through, it's worth it not to walk in this day and age. Cost: 200 points.
• Cybertentacles. This procedure involves installing robotic, tentacle-like appendages to a character's spine. These appendages are retractable and retract back into the disk-like implant imbedded into the character's spine when not in use. They can extend up to 20 meters and are prehensile, with the strength to constrict and crush a person and also the dexterity to open the lid of a jar. They are very versatile in battle, allowing a person to swing across buildings or 'walk' across the ground on only their tentacles. Cost: 200 points.
▶ WEAPONS:
Given that characters are brought in to defend Neo Tokyo, LILITH will provide them with an arsenal of weapons to use. These include basic weapons and advanced weapons. Weapons from home cannot be regained.
• Primitive weapons. These include handheld weapons such as knives, swords, crossbows, axes, etc. Anything that might have been available before guns were invented. This does not include guns, bombs, bazookas or flamethrowers. Cost: 25 points.
• Modern weapons. These include weapons such as pistols, rifles, grenades, flamethrowers and bazookas. Any modern day (year 2023) weapon that can be carried around. Cost: 50 points.
• LILITH Technology: Maximum Shield. A ring that activates a sturdy forcefield that cannot be penetrated by brute force and is impenetrable to fire, electricity and ammunition. Cost: 100 points.
• LILITH Technology: Hermes. A pair of sleek boots that grant the user flight up to 40 meters in height. They come with pretty wings attached. Cost: 100 points.
• LILITH Technology: Elemental Sword. A katana that can emit Fire, Water, Wind, Light, Darkness, Ice or Lightning. Characters can only choose one element per sword. Note that the water katana is able to draw water from the atmosphere, so no water source is needed (but using it near a water source can lead to more effective attacks). Cost: 100 points.
• LILITH Technology: Poison Dagger. A small dagger that's able to inject an artificial virus into the bloodstream. This virus causes excruciating pain and immobilizes the muscles, capable of killing a small (dog-sized) kaiju and stunning a medium (lion-sized) kaiju. Cannot be used on humans without clearance from LILITH. If the user does not activate the poison, it acts as a regular dagger. Cost: 100 points.
• LILITH Technology: Kanabo. A huge, bone-shattering spiked club that emits shockwaves when used to hit something (or someone). When smashed into the ground, it is powerful enough to start a small earthquake. Cost: 100 points.
▶ VEHICLES:
• Hoverboard. A board with two straps for one's feet. When put on, it connects with its user's microchip, allowing the user to ride it up to distances of 40 meters. This board is typically black in colour, but once connected with a user, the user can choose the design decorating its body. Some practice might be needed to stop yourself from crashing into a building. Cost: 100 points.
• Motorcycle. A high-speed motorcycle with the ability to anti-gravity features that enable it to scale up walls. Able to scale up a maximum height of 40 meters. 2 people are able to ride on it safely. The decal is typically black, but once it connects to a rider, characters will be able to choose its colours and design. Cost: 120 points.
• Hover Car. A high speed vehicle capable of sitting up to 5 people (including the driver). This hover car does not have any wheels and instead uses the same technology as the hoverboard. It is capable of running on land and flying up to distances of 40 meters. It is also weaponized, and drivers have the choice of fixing it with lasers, a machine gun, a flamethrower or a missile. This hover car comes complete with a self-driving AI and can drive itself to its user when called (the AI may sass the driver at times). The decal is typically black but characters can choose its colours and design. Cost: 180 points.
▶ MISCELLENOUS ITEMS:
• Roomba. Never lift a finger to clean your room again with this smart and stylish little robot! The roomba is able to sweep, mop and vacuum, and can climb up on any surface (including the ceiling) to ensure that the whole apartment is spotless! You won't even need to take the trash out, because it will disintegrate it for you. (Has been programmed against any sort of violence.) Cost: 25 points.
• Hummingbird Drone. This drone looks exactly like an adorable little hummingbird, but she's actually 100% cybernetic! It behaves exactly like a regular bird and each unit has their own distinct personality. It is programmed to imprint onto a character and perch on their shoulder, following them everywhere. Being a drone, it does have the ability to carry and deliver a package up to 10kg and record breathtaking views. Also, it's just cute to look at. No feeding necessary, but if characters do want to feed the birds, they enjoy bolts and screws. Cost: 50 points.
• Style Upgrade. This is a special upgrade to a character's chip that allows them to change the look of what they are wearing. Available styles include: Clothing from the characters' home worlds (taken from their memory), their LILITH plugsuit, popular Japanese styles, popular fashion within the United States, and desert attire. Like all technology, there is a chance it might malfunction, leaving a character in something highly embarrassing ... or nothing at all. Cost: 25 points.
• Together-Forever Tracker Ring. A pair of stylish bands - comes in gold, silver, or rose-gold and with a gem/diamond of your choice. Outsiders who put them on and pair them will be able to keep tabs on each other constantly. This means location tracking and an option to temporarily see, feel and hear what the other person is experiencing. One person can wear multiple rings and pair them with the rings of multiple people. It is possible to track someone without their knowledge by slipping the ring into their clothing. Cost: 75 points.
• Hammerspace Gloves. A pair of sleek black gloves that lets you store weapons in them through warp/dataportal technology. Tuck your weapon away and make it appear undetected! It can only store ONE WEAPON and nothing else. Cost: 150 points.
• Room Style Hologram. Purchase and download an easy to use app that makes decorating your boring LILITH assigned room fun! This app is somewhat of a game that features a little robot raccoon that sells you cyberspace decor to enhance the look of your real life room via a hologram. You're an interior designer now with thousands of looks to choose from, even items and looks that are from your homeworld if you are missing how your room back home looked. Pick out the items, arrange it in your cyberspace room and reflect it as a hologram for everyone to see. May be subject to microtransactions. Cost: 100 points.
• Cat Ears. A visor with cat-shaped ears. This visor enhances a user's vision, hearing and smell, allowing even for night and heat-seeking vision. It's also able to play music. Cost: 100 points.
▶ ITEM REGAINS:
Through LILITH'S DNA matching technology, a method of regaining personal items from the home worlds of Outsiders has been devised! These items are priced as follow:
Small Non-powered Item. All items that can be carried by a regular person would fall under this category. Example: A photograph from home, a journal, a musical instrument. Does not include weapons. Cost: 50 points.
Primitive Weapon. This includes all non-technological weapons (less advanced than a gun) available from home. Cost: 75 points.
Modern Weapon. This includes all modern weapons such as guns, bazookas, and flamethrowers available from home. Cost: 100 points.
Magical/Futuristic Weapon or Item. This includes magical and futuristic weapons, items or accessories available from home. For example: A character's personal magical battle axe, their personal tracking device/robot, or magical charms from home. Cost: 150 points.
▶ CROWDFUNDED REGAINS:
We allow players to pool their points to purchase larger rewards that can impact the playerbase as a whole. Players can buy gifts for the entire playerbase or upgrade the base. Because these rewards can affect the entire game, more information can be found on the PLAYER PLOT page.
▶ OTHER NOTES: LILITH technology (Excluding modern/primitive standard weapons) is built to be sturdy and reliable (with the occasional glitches meant to give players fun prompts to play with). If you feel like your character might break or take apart LILITH technology, please contact the mods.
Make a top level with your player handle, and then a comment for each character with the following information. For each new character, make a new top level.
To submit a rewards request, reply to your comment with the following code for every rewards request:
Quests are mini missions that can be done during relaxed months. Each quest will feature an objective to be accomplished by characters. While mods can answer questions and provide more details about quests, we want quests to be largely controlled by players. As a result, mods will not be playing NPCs or setting up logs for quests. Instead, players are encouraged to make their own logs, add their own details, and make up their own NPCs to fit their plans. As long as nothing becomes game breaking or plot altering, we will allow it.
Side quests can take place in previously visited locations. To date, the current available locations are:NeoTokyo, Kyoto, Okinawa, and Las Vegas.
Quests are open for everyone to participate in and can be completed by multiple people more than once. Quests can be stand-alone or part of a loose quest line depending on how interested and involved characters are. Furthermore, quests can be used to help break down large player plots that need to unfold over a period of time. Lastly, all quests are optional.
If you are interested and have ideas to extend a quest line, you can submit additional ideas on the player plot page.
Players are always welcome to bring their ideas for player plots to the mods, and we will work with you on both scheduling and providing information on what your characters might be able to discover and accomplish. Not all player plots need to be run by the mods first. If your log only involves a few characters OR does not affect or dig into the greater setting, then you are welcome to post your log without running it by us first. However, if your plot involves digging into or changing the setting, or requires resources that might be otherwise hard to find, we suggest running it by us first.
Examples of plots that don't require mod approval: an Outsider-led group barbecue, parties, plots where characters generally want to provide aid/assistance after kaiju attacks
Examples of plots that do require mod approval: Outsiders setting up a sanctuary for rescued kaiju hybrids, creating new medicine for hospitals and clinics to use, a party traveling to a new location or far away to collect supplies or do research
To help streamline the process, the mods have come up with a set of guidelines for players to keep in mind as they come up with their plots. While we will do our best to work with players, there may be some cases where we will ask players to revise their plots. Comments posted here will be screened to prevent spoiling any future plot ideas the playerbase gives us.
- We prefer that plots do not rely heavily on NPC interaction. The NPCs are here mostly to explain mechanics and to provide additional flavor. We want focus to be more on player characters than NPCs. Furthermore, the mods may not be available to do NPC threads.
- To avoid monopolization of information, we will not provide significant information about the plot, LILITH, and certain worldbuilding aspects to individual players or a limited group of players. We feel that information and opportunities should be accessible to and available for everyone. If we feel like your plot is too closed, we may ask you to expand it to more people or to provide some other way to make sure information is accessible to everyone.
- All plots suggested should have a means of involving other characters, with how this is done clearly outlined in the suggestion. While we understand some characters may have certain IC goals in mind, ultimately we want player plots to be another avenue through which players can make and strengthen CR.
- We understand that LILITH may feel shady to some characters, especially given the nature of some of their canons. However, Synflux is not a conspiracy game. Yes, LILITH does some shady and questionable things but they are not the bad guys here. Synflux as a game works as long as LILITH and player characters work together and have some level of trust. The mod team politely asks that player plots not antagonize LILITH in such a way that the trust they have in player characters will be broken.
- If player characters insist on causing trouble for LILITH, LILITH will discipline/punish them. We will try to work with players to come up with a suitable punishment everyone can be happy with. The punishment should be fair because extreme and unfair punishments can ruin LILITH’s relationship with other player characters. In extreme cases… LILITH will just send the problematic character home.
Additional guidelines may be added in the future as we work out the player plot process. Furthermore, we may ask you to delay plots depending on the game calendar.
Please fill out the following form and submit it as a comment to this page. Mods will try and respond to you as soon as possible.
Player(s) proposing the plot: Your name
Character(s) played: Your characters
Other characters involved: Any other characters that may be participating
Is this time sensitive? Does the plot rely on certain time factors like holidays, seasons, or event scheduling?
What do you want to achieve specifically? List out your intended IC goals, making them as specific as possible. If you are investigating a particular organization or intending to dig for information, please list the specific topics your character is interested rather than just listing 'information in general'.
How exactly will you do this? The methods your characters plan to use
What merits/strengths does each character involved bring? Do the characters involved have any particular skillsets that would help them achieve their goals? The mods may take this into consideration when coming up with outcomes.
How will other characters be able to participate in this plot: We understand that some plots may be spearheaded by only a few characters, but if other characters beyond that want to get involved, how can they do so?
If you succeed, what do you expect? We will try to work with you to see exactly how much is possible.
If you fail, what do you expect? This will help us come up with suitable consequences if necessary.
If there's a negative consequence, what do you expect/what is or isn't ok for you? Please list any limits you are not okay with. The mods will always respect player boundaries and will work with you to come up with something fun for you to play with.
Quests are mini missions that occur during relaxed months. If you have an idea for a quest, you can submit it here using this form. More information can be read on the quest page.
Location: Where will the quest take place?
Summary: What is the quest?
Objective: Is there a single objective or multiple?
Notes: Any additional notes?
A mod will reply and let you know if there are any questions, necessary revisions, or if it's been accepted.
We allow players to pool their points to purchase larger rewards that can impact the playerbase as a whole. Currently we have two main methods of letting players pool their points:- Buying gifts for the entire playerbase like a special outfit or small reward. In general, this would be the cost of the item multiplied by the number of players in the game. Some prices may vary depending on the type of reward request being made. Feel free to discuss with us if you are unsure.
- 'Upgrading' the base with new add-ons, for example, if characters wanted to add an onsite theater to the base. The cost for these upgrades will vary depending on the upgrade. For now, we will start costs at 1000 points. However, as we want these upgrades to be a group effort rather than funded entirely by one person, each player will only be allowed to contribute a maximum of 500 points to the total cost.
We may make adjustments or refuse ideas if they conflict with the setting or plot. To make requests for crowdfunded rewards, reply to THIS COMMENT with the appropriate form.
THIS PAGE IS NO LONGER BEING MAINTAINED. PLEASE SEE THE HOUSING SPREADSHEET FOR UP TO DATE INFORMATION.
Comment under the TEAM and NUMBER your character was assigned to by acceptance. Please write CHARACTER NAME | CHARACTER CANON in the HEADER COMMENT ONLY and leave the rest of the comment blank. We ask that you delete your comment as well in the event of a drop. Thank you!
Thank you all for the excessive interest in our cyberpunk game! We are happy and excited to announce that the official game opening and TEST DRIVE will occur on December 1st, 2023. The month of December will be a bit of a unique case before the real flow of things begins in January. This is to give the game some breathing room during what is typically a busy month. Please read the information below thoroughly to have an understanding of how the game opening will occur.▶ An official interest check & enable me meme will occur on November 25th, 2023.
▶ Test Drive & Reserves will open on December 1st. They will close in the 5th.
▶ Applications will open on December 5th and close on the 10th.
▶ The month of December will be a slow paced month / soft opening of sorts. This will include the test drive and a holiday themed mingle to keep things light. There will be no AC requirement or anything asked of players to complete this month.
▶ Unique to the opening of the game, another TDM and reserves will go up on January 1st with a similar repeated schedule this month as in December because the bi-monthly schedule begins.
▶ February will have the first monster sighting and mission. Applications and reserves will be closed this month as the beginning of our bi-monthly schedule starts.
▶ Below is a general schedule that the game will follow for the most part. There will be occasional things to change things up, but the game will mostly follow the schedule below.
▶ Take this time to familiarize yourself with the game itself. You may ask general FAQ questions on the FAQ page. Specifically read about the APPLICATION, TECHNOLOGY, LOCATIONS & MAIN BASE. Any questions pertaining to the MAIN BASE, ask on the Main Base page as this is the area characters will spend most of their time in. Any other questions may be asked on the FAQ page.
Remember, this is a game in which the application relies heavily on suitability for the games setting. This is to keep the whole vibe of the game consistent and fitting for our overall vision for the game. You can check out the FAQ and application page for more information about this.
Feel free to ask any questions pertaining to this information below on this post! If you come across any contradicting information, broken links, etc.. you can let us know below. Or hype us all up in your own comment. We will take that too. Welcome and happy hunting, Outsiders!DEC 1: TDM Posted, Reserves Open

This is the permanent AC post for you to turn in your activity check. Activity Check can be submitted anytime during the month you are submitting for and close at midnight GMT on the last day of the month you are submitting for. Activity Check goes by a point system of 20 points over the span of no more than three threads of any combination. If you are linking a top level with more than three tag-ins, please specify which threads you are submitting. Each thread must be started on the month you are submitting for. For whatever reason you are unable to make AC for any given reason, reach out to us and we can usually be willing to accommodate under certain circumstances. The point system is as followed:1. Network (text mingle and player posts), IC Inbox = 1 point per tag.Anyway that will give you at least 20 points total across three threads or less can be submitted.
2. Player Created Logs, TDM / Simulation Log (including network comments on the TDM), Mission Log = 2 points per tag.
3. Inbox threads count for AC but not bonus points.
Please use the forms provided for ease of processing. New characters are still required to submit AC the month they are accepted into the game.
If you have additional threads you'd like to bank for Bonus Points, you can collect them and submit them with your AC. We will not be keeping up with late submitted bonus points; only bonus points submitted for the month you are making AC for will be counted towards your total. This means that you cannot submit May threads for bonus AC in June. There is a section to add your additional points up in the coding below. You can redeem your Bonus Points for any month over at the REWARDS page. For example, if you have submitted Bonus Points in June, July and August but finally want to use them all in September, that is perfectly fine! If you don't want to bank Bonus Points, you can simply fill out an AC code only.
Bonus Points cannot be used for threads that are used for AC even if they go over the AC requirement. Bonus Points can still be submitted even while a player is on hiatus.
While the mods understand that players have limited time and energy, we do expect a certain amount of engagement with the game and the playerbase. Synflux is a capped game and we do not tolerate AC submissions that are clearly meant to maintain a spot in the game.
If we notice a pattern of poor activity across several months, we may ask for an additional proof. Poor activity includes but is not limited to:If you cannot provide an additional proof, you will be swept. You will not be penalized if your main AC submission falls into one of the above but you have plenty of Bonus AC threads submitted. In cases of emergency, please speak with us privately.
- Submitting threads with the same 1-3 people each month
- Only tagging castmates or not tagging sufficiently outside a cast
- Immediately dropping all threads after AC submission
- Submitting threads only tagged on the last few days of the month
- Alternating between hiatuses and minimum AC submissions
If you are on Hiatus, it must be for at least two weeks for an AC exemption. If you take a hiatus, you must make AC the following month. To fill out AC for a Hiatus, simply just link your Hiatus and write Hiatus in the header comment. There will be no retroactive hiatuses and neither a strike system. If dire circumstances arise, you may reach out to the mod team and we can work with you.

Of course, characters won't know about this until they give them a try.

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.
Applications open at 12:00 am GMT on the 5th BIMONTHLY and close on the 10th at 12:00 am GMT. Players can apply accordingly even if this page doesn't update to OPEN or CLOSED-- we will check time stamps.
Applications are SCREENED.
Application Months: January, March, May, July, September, & November.
This is a unique application that will judge it's acceptance by roleplaying samples & suitability. Give us your best samples and a well thought out suitability section regardless of what kind of character you are applying for. The personality section is also important as it helps us categorize your character in their respectable team!
Applications should be posted in their entirety as a comment to this page. Please do not link out to apps elsewhere. Applications must be complete with all sections filled out and meeting the stated requirements at time of submission. Failure to do so will result in a rejection.
All applications will be placed on a list updated throughout the app round, and will be read on a first-come-first-served basis, followed by a suitability judgment. Applications put in by a current player will also be indicated on the list. While reserves are not required to app, a reserve does prevent anyone else from apping that character until the reserve expires.
In the event that we reach player cap, any applications that exceed the cap will remain on the list and be considered first in the next app cycle. This is a rolling application method. Should a player change their mind about their application, we ask that they notify us by responding to their posted application and letting us know they are retracting it. Their name will be taken off the list and whoever is next will be bumped upwards.
Synflux is a capped game with 60 players and 120 characters (players may app a maximum of 2 characters in the game, one per app round). There is a franchise cap of 8 characters per franchise.PLAYER CAP: 49/60
Capped Franchises:
Jujutsu Kaisen (8/8)
Near Capacity:
Fate/ (7/8)
01. Canon characters whose series has been out past a month.
02. Original Characters from their own universes. This includes DnD OCs as each campaign can be unique and different.
03. Inhuman characters and they will retain their inhuman form.
04. Silent Protagonists who have shown enough clear personality. ( e.g: Link from the Zelda series, Akira from Persona 5. )
05. Canon doubles of the same character as long as both characters and/or relevant universes are distinct enough. For example, Shirou Emiya and Archer (EMIYA) are alternate versions of the same character but are distinct enough that both would be appable. However, Batman from the DCEU is too similar to Batman from the comics for them both to be appable at once.
06. Characters who share a body with another. A player may write both characters at once or just one individually. If a players chooses to only write one character, the other would remain appable. Make sure you specify in your application how the split would work.
07. Fictional renditions of historical people as long as they exist in a fictional setting (e.g. characters from the Fate series).
01. Fandom OCs of any kind, including WoLs.
02. Characters with little to no screen time or canon personality. They must at least have enough screen time to have a distinct voice and some distinctive personality traits. If you find yourself speculating wildly about what this character's personality is like, they are probably not appable.
03. Fanon doubles of a character already played by someone else in the game.
04. Characters under the age of 13. Characters 13 and over are appable, but the closer they are to 13 the stricter we will be on suitability judgement.
05. Real people or historical figures. This includes renditions of historical figures from biographies (even dramatized biographies).

CRAU INFO: CRAU memories and relationships are allowed, but any powers obtained in previous games will be discarded. N/A if not applicable.
SUITABILITY: Please list a thorough suitability section here. Why would LILITH choose your character to help? What shit have they seen in their days? Can they handle being sent on missions to defeat monsters? Would they willingly go on missions despite how dangerous they are? Why do you think so? Additionally, we do not allow plots that pit characters against LILITH so please explain how your characters will cooperate and work alongside LILITH even if they disagree with some of their policies. Characters under the age of 14 will receive a more strict judgment.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: List 4 good personality traits & 4 negative personality traits to describe your character. Make this as concise as possible (one or two word bullet points is fine.)
PERSONALITY REFERENCE: Link their Wiki for a mod reference. If you are apping an OC, you can fill out N/A here.
POWERS & SKILLS: Characters arrive with all of their powers intact besides those that are overpowered and game breaking. List concisely the powers your character will have upon arrival in bullet point form, separating out each power into its own point. This makes it easier for the mods to process. If your character's powers rely on an item or weapon, it will come with them.
NERFED POWERS: Powers that are game breaking and overpowered will be nerfed down. You may do this by nerfing down their power to at least 30% strength or less or completely discarding them. We do expect players to list their own nerfs; if you are not sure how to nerf a certain power, make your best guess and the mods will let you know if it needs to be nerfed further. Please review the section on powers and abilities in the FAQ if you have not already for our expectations on nerfs.
PERSONAL ITEM: This can be anything such as a weapon, sentimental item, magical item, etc. If your character relies on an item to access their powers (such as, Iron Man's suit, Genshin Impact Visions, etc), that item already comes with them and you may use this space for something else. Items that can fit in a 6 x 3 locker will be found in their locker when they arrive; larger items will be found in their living quarters when they access their room. Explain briefly what this item is and what it does, nerfing anything gamebreaking.
ALTERNATE IDENTITY: What's the name and occupation LILITH will give your character for when they interact outside of LILITH's base?
CODE NAME CHOICE: LILITH will assign a code name to your character for the use of the network. Do you want something that teases your character and takes a jab at them? Something serious and fitting that they will be happy with? You may also list your own suggestions here or otherwise let us know we are free to go bonkers with it. As a general note, if you feel like the username provided does not jive with your character, you're more than welcome to change it as you see fit!
SAMPLES: Include some of your best samples within the past year. Give us ONE PARAGRAPH THREAD and ONE NETWORK THREAD that each have at least 8 comments from your character per thread.

Neo Tokyo is brimming with body modification technology that can be used for entertainment & leisure, everyday assistance and convenience, military purposes, pleasure and even committing crimes. This can range from robotic appendages, spinal cord adapters that can give a person supernatural abilities, ocular devices that use holograms for communication and so forth.
Upon arrival, each character will be tampered with after they materialize in the ADMINISTRATION ONLY room. They will be sent to the MEDICAL BAY where they will undergo an operation that will permanently alter them.
First off, their eyes will be modified. This won't change their eye color, but their eyes will light up when in use. Ocular and brain implants are the standard way of communication now and more about it can be read below. Eyes are the window to the soul, so to say, and it's no joke around here. Ocular implants will have a characters identification, but Outsiders who have materialized on behalf of LILITH will be given and ALTERNATE IDENTITY when interacting with civilians outside of the main base and other members of LILITH. What their name and identity is will be up to the player to decide. Feel free to give Sasuke Uchiha the name Joe Dirt for all we care. This section should be filled out in the app and can be anything you want it to be.
Say you go into a mall in Shinjuku.. characters will get bombarded with all sorts of advertisements when they look at them and will call them out by their name, which will be their alternate identity as someone who has existed in this world with current data. Players are free to go wild with who their character's alternate identity is.
Another adjustment will lie in a character's dominant wrist. If they are right handed, it will be in the right wrist. If they are left handed, it will be in the left wrist. This is a microchip that will be responsible for all transactions at local stores. Pick up the item you want, scan your wrist over the scan bar or the face of the friendly clerk robot, and voila. You've just paid for your purchase. More about the CURRENCY can be read below.
... And that's it! We hope you all enjoy being a partial robot.
A plug suit with their team's color in the center orb.
Lounge clothing / pajamas to wear along the base. This is a simple, comfy pair of shirt and pants of their team color.
One outfit of player's choice that consists of sneakers/heels, pants/skirt, top, and basic accessories. This outfit will have the modification capabilities of that which can be purchased.
On their downtime, characters are free to leave the main base and explore the colourful city of Neo Tokyo, with its flashing, neon signs and busy shops. Even under the constant threat of a Kaiju attack, the people of Neo Tokyo have made the most out of their difficult situation. There are clear signs of past attacks, with run down, abandoned buildings and empty, destroyed shops all over the city. Yet, there continues to be a functional train system taking commuters to their destinations, apartment buildings full of people, and numerous shops, restaurants and ways to kill time. It's a bit of a mixed bag in this city, that's for sure.
While a lot of the city is decrepit, with the support of LILITH, the residents have also kept up with the times. It's not uncommon at all to see a robot at the front desk, taking your order and serving your food. It also isn't uncommon to see little robot pets, drones or a child on a luminescent hoverboard zipping by.
✘ APARTMENT BUILDINGS
Much like every big city, most people in Neo Tokyo live in high-rise apartment buildings. These buildings range from completely run-down and unlivable, to the swankiest condominium one can dream of. Most residents in Neo Tokyo (or the ones who can afford it, anyway) live in the buildings refurbished by LILITH. These buildings are set up with emergency safeguards for when a Kaiju attack is imminent. They come with ground-level latches that flip open when the emergency response is activated, and like clockwork, characters can witness the remarkable sight of most of the city sinking into the ground. Of course, the older buildings aren't quite set up this way, and are completely vulnerable to any sort of attack. Good thing no one actually lives in them, right?
... Right?
LILITH strongly encourages characters to live in the main base and not in any of the buildings in Neo Tokyo. Defying this order constitutes abscondment from LILITH, which could result in disciplinary action.
✘ NEO TOKYO METRO
The livable parts of Neo Tokyo are connected by the old Tokyo train system (with refurbished trains, of course). Characters familiar with Tokyo might recognise popular stations such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ueno and many more. The Metro no longer services the outer parts of Tokyo as these areas have been destroyed. Characters can access the metro directly from LILITH's main base as there is a station there.
✘ SHRINES AND TEMPLES
There are shrines and temples spread out across the city. Characters familiar with the area may find some of the notable ones still around but they may also find new ones that are unique to Neo Tokyo. They are noted for their mix of new cybertech and old traditions and tend to be some of the quieter parts of the city thanks to noise canceling technology. During festive periods, these areas become hubs of activity as people gather for whatever celebration may be taking place.
One of the biggest shrines is located near the main base in Shinjuku. It is popular with some of LILITH's agents and it's not uncommon to run into other members from time to time, especially at festivals.
✘ SHOPS AND BUSINESSES
Neo Tokyo is littered with shops and attractions, big and small. There's always something good to eat and something to kill the time with. We welcome players to create shops and businesses for our setting by putting in submissions here— whether this is player-ran or whether you would prefer to just come up with one that is completely ran by an NPC is up to you! In the case that a character with a business drops, the business will automatically be operated by an AI bot. LILITH provides a monthly stipend but it's far from enough to live a comfortable life in the city. Characters are free to work in any of the below businesses or in any of the businesses submitted by players.‣ CONVENIENCE STORES. Convenience stores such as '7-10' and 'Dawson' can be found easily throughout the city. There, you can find a quick bite or some quick supplies and essentials. They are usually staffed by a robot (but anyone can apply to work in them).✘ TOKYO BAY
‣ KARAOKE BARS. These can be found all over the city as well. They offer private, soundproof rooms with an array of songs to choose from. Most of the songs will likely be unfamiliar to characters, given that this is an entirely different world. However, there is an option to connect your chip to the karaoke machine and have it scan your memory for songs from your home you might enjoy singing. These bars serve finger foods and alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. They are usually staffed by robots as well (but anyone can apply to work in them).
‣ FOOD AND BEVERAGE. An array of different sorts of restaurants are available in Neo Tokyo, ranging from the worldwide famous fast food chains (such as 'JFC'), hole-in-the-wall ramen stands and high end gourmet dining. It can be noted that the chain restaurants tend to be staffed by robots, while the older-looking ramen stands and smaller eateries are staffed by actual people (who are very passionate about their food).
‣ MARKET DISTRICTS. There are some market districts scattered across the city. All of the open-air ones have been destroyed or abandoned so all that remains are clustered markets in covered streets or in large buildings. Characters will find all sorts of small, independent businesses where locals can trade, barter, and sell different goods and services ranging from food, trinkets, or services. While most of the shops at the front are perfectly legitimate, characters may find seedier businesses tucked away in small alleys or the backs of buildings.
‣ LILICO GAME CENTER. LILITH'S gift to the people of Neo Tokyo, to keep them happy and distracted from their plight. Hard to miss, with its flashing neon lights, huge posters of game characters and game machines on display, LILICO Game Centre is a popular (and huge) VR Arcade located in the center of Akihabara. You can find just about any form of entertainment here: Claw machines, Gachapon machines, arcade games of any sort imaginable, a pachinko parlour, and the shining star of the center: The Immersive VR experience. LILITH has perfected the VR simulation technology they used to reserve only for training simulations, and have turned it into a fun game for all! When characters enter the VR Room, their chip will be automatically connected to the system, and they will be treated to any sort of experience they desire. Want to go floating on the moon? You got it! Want to relive the best memories of your life? Yup, go ahead! Want to play a game of tennis in a run-down city with no actual tennis courts? The VR is here for you. If they so desire, characters can also use the VR Room for certain ... adult experiences. LILITH does not judge as long as you're having fun. What happens in the VR Room stays in the VR Room.
If players want a certain experience in the VR that characters would not typically ask for, you can simply say there was a glitch, or that the VR read their mind and acted on its own.
Due to the danger of Kaiju appearing from the sea, most people stay away from the coast and many of the lines that would lead to the ports and beaches are destroyed. The area is still accessible to characters who want to venture out. However, many of the train lines stop before you can get there so characters will have to follow the abandoned tracks and walk an hour or two to reach the sea.
Many of the beaches have been destroyed and are littered with wreckage and debris from past events. The water is always dark and the beaches are quiet save for the saves. Characters may walk along the coast but are urged to not go too far due to how vulnerable they would be.
✘ OUTSIDE THE CITY
The outer parts of the main city are not accessible by train, but LILITH isn't going to stop you if you want to explore (as long as there is no Kaiju alert). They will need to be accessed by foot or some sort of vehicle. There isn't much out there, unfortunately - only run down, abandoned old houses and barren land. For those who enjoy the aesthetic of abandoned places, you are free to explore the old houses, shops and schools. It's quite clear that many people had to leave in a hurry - if they managed to leave at all. With the smashed buildings, and the larger than life claw marks and foot prints one might be able to find, it's pretty obvious what had happened here.
A few abandoned theme parks can be found. Most of them are on the smaller side and now they are nothing more than skeletons of what they once were. There is nothing to see but mangled rides and ruined dream castles. These parks no longer have power but characters may be able to temporarily jumpstart some of the smaller systems with a power source.
There is one little pocket in the outer suburbs that's gone fairly unscathed. There, you will find a traditional-looking building with a natural hot spring that offers a relaxing and authentic onsen experience. Though wearing down with age, the owners of this onsen insist on clinging to their livelihood and have refused to take refuge in the big city. For a fee, characters can enjoy a hearty, traditional meal and enjoy the healing properties of the natural hot spring. For some reason, a colony of feral cats have also flourished in this region, so it's not too uncommon to see one relaxing nearby as you soak.
Unlike Neo-Tokyo with its array of neon lights and bustling traffic, the city of Kyoto is largely abandoned. The streets are empty and the city has been abandoned since the attack. The Imperial Palace is still standing, albeit in decrepit conditions from years of neglect, and the once picturesque, historical streets now sit in ruin. Outsiders may still find the structures of famous landmarks, but they are nowhere near as glorious as they once were and many of them have suffered heavy damage.
The main point of interest in Kyoto is the Old Kyoto Base, where the Japan branch of LILITH has sent some operatives. In terms of structure, the Kyoto Base looks similar to that of Neo Tokyo, with the remnants of a training ground, research labs and dormitories free to explore. Once upon a time, this base was filled with LILITH personnel. What had happened to them, along with all the other residents of Kyoto, is anyone’s guess.
With the lack of human interference, Kyoto has become overrun with wild animals such as macaques, deer, foxes and tanuki. A herd of boar-like Kaiju, the Yama-Kujira, have also taken their place at the top of the ecosystem.
Welcome to Emerald Beach in Okinawa! Filled with soft sand, hot sun, and clear, beautiful waves sprawl as far as the eye can see. The water appears to be cleaner than that found in Tokyo Bay and there are fish still swimming around in the ocean. A true vacation paradise...if you ignore the occasional cluster of coconut crabs that inhabit the beach.
Nearby to the beach, there are many abandoned fruit farms (such as watermelon, dragon fruits, mango and pineapples) that may have fresh produce for harvest. Some of these fruits have grown humongous in size.
When one passes through the data portal, they will see the refuge city of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Similar to Neo Tokyo, it is also rich in life and known as the city that never sleeps. Incidentally, it is also famously noted as a place of endless vice. The city is built up around a strip of land of roughly 4.2 miles. A vast majority of the city was built up over the wreckage of the old, and some fixtures were simply made new with whatever was left preexisting. The Mojave Desert has expanded towards surrounding cities, though it will take a vehicle to get there in a timely manner. The city has no shortage of hotels and with each hotel, a casino.
